Egg Custard Pie

Prep Time: 15 Min. Cook Time: 40 Min. What you need:

+ 1-1/4 c. sugar
+ 2 Tbsp. flour + 4 eggs + 1 c. evaporated milk + 1 tsp. vanilla + dash of nutmeg + 9 in. pastry crust for pie + whipped cream, optional What to do:
1. Mix sugar and flour in a large bowl. Beat in eggs and milk, mixing to combine; stir in vanilla.
2. Line a 9" pie plate with pastry, crimping edges as desired. Pour custard filling into pie plate. Sprinkle lightly with nutmeg. 3. Bake at 425°F for 10 min. Reduce oven temperature to 350°F and continue baking for 30 min. or until pie tests done (knife inserted in center comes out clean); cool and refrigerate.
